The island consists of two main islands, Dongdo and Seodo, and about 100 small stones. It is a very important territory because various minerals and fish grow around this island. This Dokdo was occupied 1000 years ago by Isabu, who came to conquer Dokdo during the Silla period on the Korean Peninsula. But the Japanese government continues to distort history, make lies and incite people. Even though their history books say that Dokdo is not Japanese territory,
Dokdo, where your website mentioned as 'takeshima' was ruled by Korea government for a long time and Korean people lived there for a long time. This is mentioned in lots of old books or historical resources.
Japan is keep arguing that Dokdo is Japan's territory based on the fact that Japan ruled Dokdo in the japanese colonial period, but in fact, it is just a process of ruling Korea, doesn't mean that Dokdo is Japan's realm.

Therefore The Announcement of Japanese government 'illegal seizure of Dokdo' by Korea is totally groundless and wrong.
Please understand Dokdo is highly valued by the Korean. First,
Dokdo is a key forward base to assure Korean sovereignty over its territorial waters and EEZ, and to protect its fishing rights. Another reason is that it is a vast treasure trove of underground resources, such as solidified natural gas. Also, it is a potential source of drinking water from deep underground.
Thank you for your research and your time reading my letter.
