With all due respect, I am writing this letter to you regarding the misleading map on your website. (http://deas.um.edu.my/index.htm)
To my great surprise, the ocean that is located between the Korean peninsula and the Japanese archipelago, whose original name is the "East Sea," is wrongly named the "Sea of Japan." Considering your website also contains several maps using both the "East Sea" and the "Sea of Japan," (like those on this page; http://deas.um.edu.my/html/about_us.htm) I assume you also understand the circumstance.
As a Korean national who is fully aware of how the East Sea is enthusiastically beloved by our people, and as a high school student who wants to make good use of my knowledge to contribute to this world, I could not help but write this letter to you.
Therefore, I humbly ask you to seriously consider this issue and to replace the erroneous map with correct one. Please visit the website (http://dokdo.mofat.go.kr) for more specific information on geographical designations if you need any.
I would like to once again appreciate your time for reviewing my letter and will be more than honored to get reply from you via my e-mail (shinys1112@naver.com).
Yours sincerely,
Yoon-seong Shin
