To begin with, let me explain how Japan occupied hanbando. Japan took away Korea's national sovereignty in August 29th, 1910, and occupied Korea until August 15th, 1945. We call this period 'Japanese colonial era'. During this period, Japanese discriminated Koreans, violating their rights to learn, choose jobs, use their own language and whatever else. Many Koreans were conscripted to work in factories and mines, also being killed. Japanese colonial era is still unforgettable, terrible and painful of our ethnic group.
But you are arguing that this period rather helped Korea's economy. One of evidences you are providing is that Japan had built rails, roads, ports during the period. However, the fact is that the constructions were done not for Korea's economic development but for that of Japan and easier domination. Korea's economy got worse because Japan used those facilities to take money and workforce.
GDP of South Korea in 1945-46 was half as low as that in 1910.
