Dear Younjun Kang,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your concern about a map on one of our articles. Wikipedia is a collaborative encyclopedia, and we often have articles that are subject to naming disputes.

The name "Sea of Japan" was agreed upon by Wikipedians in 2005 as part of a discussion on what to name that body of water <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Naming_conventions_%28Korean%29/Disputed_names>. The name was chosen over "East Sea" because it has been agreed upon as the more common name among English speakers. However, since article content is not controlled by a central authority, we do not resolve disputes via email. You are more than welcome to bring up your objections on the talk page of any article where this name is used, which can be accessed through the discussion tab above any page. Please see <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:TUT> for more information about contributing to Wikipedia articles and discussions.

 Yours sincerely,
 Robert Johnson
