Dear Hyunah Jang,
Thank you for contacting us regarding the dispute you encountered while editing.
Wikipedia is a collaborative encyclopedia, and we often have articles that are subject to dispute by others.
The name "Sea of Japan" was agreed upon by Wikipedians in 2005 as part of a discussion on what to name that body of water <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Naming_conventions_%28Korean%29/Disputed_names>. The name was chosen over "East Sea" because it has been agreed upon as the common name by Wikipedians. However, since article content is not controlled by a central authority, we do not resolve page name disputes via email. You are more than welcome to bring up your objections on the talk page of the Sea of Japan <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Sea_of_Japan>, but be advised that the naming conventions preclude any discussion of this issue.
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
Yours sincerely,
Ron Jones
