Hello this is Sol Keam, Korean high school student. Currently, I visited your sub website “Hydrographic and Oceanographic department”. In this website, there is wrong information about Sea of Japan, so I send this e-mail.

You marked that sea of japan is the only way to name that sea. However “East sea” is also correct way to mark that sea internationally. Korea have used that name for over 2000 years, and after 1991, join UN, “East Sea” have been use by naming that sea internationally. Nowadays global trend about naming of that sea is marking both name at the same time.

It is political issue between Korea and Japan. Since it is sensitive issue for both country, your help to correct the wrong information will release this issue.
