Hi, I'm Wonjun Kang, a middle school student from South Korea. While surfing on the internet, I found an error on your website I'm sending this letter in order to recapitulate the erratum about the designation of the sea between Korean peninsula and Japan.

The critical error that I've found in your website is that the sea between Korean peninsula and Japan is named as 'Japan sea'. The original and official title of the sea which I'm talking about, is 'East Sea'. This name has been officially designated since the period of imperialism.
Historically for 2000 years, not only in Korean maps but also in old Japanese maps, it was called 'East Sea', not 'Japan sea'.
Since 'East Sea' has been the official title for the sea, I request your website to revise the appellation from 'Sea of Japan' to 'East Sea'. |
