Hello. My name is a-ri song. I am a member of the Dokdo Cyber Press, a non-governmental and voluntary organization. Recently I visited your website below: And I was quite surprised to find your websites still label Korea's 'East Sea' as 'Sea of Japan,' which is incorrect.

º»·Ð

The name, ¡®East Sea¡¯, has been used most frequently for the world maps made in the West since 16th century when western countries started an oriental exploration in earnest. It was named ¡®Sea of Japan¡¯ by IHO (International Hydrographic Organization) in 1929 when Korea was still under the Japanese colonial rule, but in 1957, Korea joined IHO, and since 1992, Korea has made objections to its incorrect name, ¡®Sea of Japan¡¯, in international conferences, including IHO Conference and UN-related conferences, further having the effect of spreading its correct name to the global community. At present, as many international organizations including U. N. agencies have corrected ¡®Sea of Japan¡¯ to ¡®East Sea¡¯, I¡¯d truly appreciate if your company could join this trend

I am sincerely looking forward to seeing you correct the wrong name in the Asian map, and I am sure that millions of Korea visitors to your website, including me, will see such a change with constant interest and affection.

It would be greatly appreciated if you would send me a reply via my e-mail (arisong96@naver.com) when you have made the correction in your Site.
