Dear mcab1993,

Hello. My name is Hee Ju Kim and I¡¯m from South Korea. I was surfing the internet and found wrong information ; the "East Sea" is written as "Sea of Japan." There are specifically three places wrong; the first is in the clip. It says "Japanisches Meer." As you know, it's "Sea of Japan" in German. And the other two are in the description.

The name of the sea between the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese archipelago, currently named as the ¡°Sea of Japan¡± in your article, should be corrected to be the ¡°East Sea¡± due to following reasons.

First, the name "Sea of Japan" was decided in the period of Japanese imperialism. In that period, Japan forcibly marked "East Sea" as "Sea of Japan". Therefore it seems unreasonable to use the name "Sea of Japan".

Also, according to international organization, it is noted that ¡°If each of two or more countries use different names, the international organization advises the name¡¯s simplification, and if it can¡¯t, it has to use both names.¡±

I humbly ask for your website to seriously consider the issue of changing the "Sea of Japan" to "East Sea" or at least, please name it both "East Sea" and "Sea of Japan".

I thank you for your time for reviewing my long letter and I would appreciate it if you reply via my e-mail cello_sophia@naver.com or YouTube.

Your small effort will help Korea a lot.

With kindest regards,

Hee Ju Kim
