The East Sea has been an integral part of Korea's territory since ancient times, dating back to the 6th century when Dokdo was discovered. Dokdo, an island situated in the middle of the East Sea, falls under Korean jurisdiction. Historical records, such as Imperial edict No. 41 issued in 1900, unequivocally establish Dokdo as Korean territory. Additionally, Korean authorities have consistently maintained control and oversight of the island.

However, despite overwhelming evidence supporting Korea's sovereignty over Dokdo and the East Sea, the Japanese government persistently claims ownership based on outdated documents. These claims lack credibility, as Japan's occupation of Korea resulted in the destruction of numerous historical artifacts and records. Their assertions are founded on weak evidence and diplomatic maneuvering.

A protracted dispute persists regarding the ownership of Dokdo and the East Sea. Nevertheless, it is an indisputable fact that both Dokdo and the East Sea rightfully belong to Korea.

I implore you to rectify the error by replacing 'Sea of Japan' with 'East Sea' on your map. The term 'Sea of Japan' is not only inaccurate but also deeply offensive to Koreans. Additionally, I kindly request confirmation of the implementation of this change.
