Dear Web Administrator,

Hello, I am Sung Min-ju, who is attending Pusan Foreign Language High School in Korea.

I saw a Dokdo notation error on this website.

I am writing this article to inform the administrator of this error and request correction.

I would appreciate it if you read this article and correct any errors.

If you correct any errors, it will be of great help to the Republic of Korea as well as to many people who visit this website for information.

If you have any questions, please contact me by email.

In the early Joseon Dynasty's observation book, Sejong Silokjiriji (1454), there is a record saying, ¡®Ulleungdo and Dokdo¡¯s two islands are not far from each other, so you can see them if the weather is clear.¡¯

People were able to see Dokdo more than 3-4 times a month on average, but there is a result that people could see Dokdo better in cold winds in autumn or spring than in summer when there is a lot of seaweed.

As such, it can be said that Dokdo is Korea's land from historical records that are geographically closer to Korea and that it is sufficiently visible with the naked eye.

Therefore, the incorrect expression ¡®Takeshima¡¯ that can be seen on this website should be corrected as ¡®Dokdo¡¯.

I would appreciate it if you read this article and correct these errors.

If you fix this error, it will be very helpful to many people.

Thank you for reading my article so far.

Have a nice day.
