To whom it may concern

Your article states that Japan and Korea , both have claim the islands
Your information stating the original date of history of the islands even suggest Japanese ownership : ...Dokdo was rightly restored to Korea after World War II, But Japan's Foreign Ministry says on its website that Japan established sovereignty over the islands by the mid 17th Century, which means Japan seems to have older history over the islands

Furthermore, this articla introduce the insight of the history ..."But the islands also symbolise the lingering historical grievances between the two nations, which have their roots in Japan's lengthy colonisation of Korea. "

You may be implying that the Korea's claim over the island is based on their old emotional reaction against colonisation.

For the reasons stated above, I ask of you that the name ¡°Dokdo" replace or at least be written and treated as an equal to the name ¡°Dokdo¡±. I hope you understand that this is not just a simple matter of calling names, but a matter of historic and geographic right. Thank you for your time.

Best regards,

Hayeon Park
