In the section on your website that says historical facts,
1. In the early 17th century, the Japanese government officially granted citizens a right of way to Ulleungdo, and used Takeshima as a place to hunt and collect marine resources such as sea lions and abalone. Japan established sovereignty over Takeshima until the mid-17th century.

2. In 1905, the Cabinet added Takeshima to the Homeland Register, established a sea lion hunting license system, and imposed land usage fees. This exercise of sovereignty was carried out peacefully by the Japanese government and without protest from other countries.

3. The peace treaty with Japan, which established international order after World War II, specifies the territories that Japan should abandon, deliberately excludes Takeshima and confirms that Takeshima is Japanese territory.

In July 4.1953, a Japanese patrol boat was shot by the South Korean side while trying to capture the sea adjacent to Takeshima. Soon after, the Republic of Korea deployed marine police personnel on Takeshima and has been illegally occupying the island to this day.
