In Alejandro Jade L. Evardone III's article 'Dokdo part of Korean Identity', he wrote 'Dokdo Islands'.

'do' in Dokdo means island by itself, so it is unnecessary to describe it as 'Dokdo Island'.

Also, although Dokdo is comprised of East Island and West Island, the Korean government prefers to think of Dokdo as a island, not two islands or a group of islets.
