This is
Hyun Joo Lee from Jeohyun Highschool Dokdo Journalism Team. We promote ¡®Dokdo,¡¯
an island laying between the Korean peninsula and the Japanese archipelago by
sending mails to websites. Through this letter, I as well, would like to ask
you a favor about the news on your website.

I
courteously ask your website to appreciate the fact that the way the sea
between Korea and Japan must be changed from ¡®The Sea of Japan¡¯ to the ¡®East
Sea,¡¯ or at least be marked in both names. There is a big historical issue
related to the problem on the description of the sea, and it is our team¡¯s
responsibility to get other countries aware of this. Actually, ever since the
government of Korea joined the UN, it made diverse effort to bring the topic up
publicly, and this lead to the expansion of world cognition. The body of water
between the two countries has been called the ¡®East Sea¡¯ for over 2000 years
and 75million people still use this name, and I hope your website gets to know
the importance of correcting your news.

I once again
ask you respectfully to change the news on your website as a fine source of
on-line information. I look forward to the changes your website would have
after reading this mail.
Thank you
for your cooperation and it would be nice of you to give me the reason you have
decided to take my mail into consideration, if you do so.
Sincerely,
Hyun Joo Lee
