Hello, I'm Jiyeon Ha, a student in Korea.

The website ¡°¡± U.S Government open DATA" has many interesting data system. So, firstly I want to say tank you for providing those useful information. But, I want to discuss about a simple notation error. "Sea of Japan" is a wrong using, and the "Ease Sea" is a correct one.

South Korea's residence as the ancestors from a ¡°East Sea¡± and has been living there. Therefore, the East Sea is already from 37 B.C. to an established term. In the 17th century, from the 19th century, most of the country use ¡°Sea of Korea¡± or ¡°East Sea¡± or ¡°Sea of Joseon¡±. But by the late 19th century when Japan invaded and colonized Korea, they had a distinct influence in the international community from then on. Therefore, ¡°sea of Japan¡± become more common. But now, many people and Korean are work hard to use the world "East Sea" including me.

It is not just a matter of Korea and Japan, but a concern of international society. Russia, Japan, South and North Korea is sharing and using East Sea together currently, so marking a specific country¡¯s name in the sea is not rights. In this case, it is an international principle to share the names of each country, even the EO to which one name will be given. But Japan is strongly talking to the international community that writing the Sea of Japan. The Korean government and various groups including many peoles are response to this very hard. In conclusion, I think when the "U.S open DATA" website reflect this situation and write down ¡°East Sea¡± together, it will be more perfect and reasonable article.

Sincerely, Jiyeon Ha
