I would like to have indicate about this news on your website.
https://mainichi.jp/english/articles/20180722/p2g/00m/0dm/007000c
Your news about "Japan to deploy large patrol boats to guard nuclear plants" is a mistaken place name of "East
Sea". So, I would like to explain about why shouuld this sea be
described as "East Sea", not "Sea of Japan".

According to your article and news, the sea between Japan and Korea is
written as the Sea of Japan. There is no historical nor political evidence
that the sea belongs to Japan. East Sea is not only surrounded by Japan but
other countries including Korea. Therefore, I believe that the body of water
between Korea and Japan should be described as the ¡°East Sea¡± or at least
with the simultaneous use of both names, ¡°East Sea/Sea of Japan¡±.

Therefore, I
sincerely ask you to use ¡°East Sea¡± to describe the body of water between
Korean and Japan in your maps and contents.
I appreciate your attention and look
forward to your consideration.
Yours Sincerely,
Joonweon Suh
