Dear Hawaii Public Radio,

Hello, Hawaii Public Radio,
I'm Jin-hee Lee from South Korea.
I'm sending you an email to ask you some help.
While I was searching for some resources(map images) to use on my homework, I found out that your website contained a wrong map.
On the article Pacific News Minute: Eight Bodies Aboard Suspected North Korean Fishing Boat that Washed Up in Japan (https://www.hawaiipublicradio.org/post/pacific-news-minute-eight-bodies-aboard-suspected-north-korean-fishing-boat-washed-japan#stream/0), the 'East Sea' was written wrong as 'Sea of Japan'.

After finding this out, I decided to send you an email to ask you for some help.
Can you change the map image on the website?
I would love to suggest you to change the image into another one that have 'East Sea' written instead of 'Sea of Japan'.

The official name for the sea is not 'Sea of Japan', but is called 'East Sea'.
It was called like that for a very long time, about 2000 years. On the old maps produced by old Koreans, Japanese, and Chinese, the 'East Sea' is titled 'East Sea'. In other words, 'East Sea' is the name used for a long time in East Asian countries.
Also, 'East Sea' is the correct name not only historically but also internationally. According to IHO( International Hydrographic Organization), where they regulate the name of world's seas, 'East Sea' was announced as the official name for the sea.
In other words, IHO recommends using 'East Sea', not 'Sea of Japan'.

Thus, I would love to ask you to change the map image into the one that uses the correct title for the 'East Sea'.
