Dear Webmaster
Hello, I¡¯m Su-min Kim, a student at Hana
Academy in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.
Thank you for providing useful information
to us on your Website.
I read your article and found something
wrong: The sea
between the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese Islands was only written as ¡°Sea
of Japan.¡±

The sea between the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese Islands,
called as Sea of Japan in your article, is also called as ¡°East Sea.¡± So it
needs to be corrected.
In 1910, Japanese Empire invaded Korea and took control for
36 years. In that period, Japanese Empire marked the name "Sea of
Japan" because Korean lost their sovereignty. But Korea already recovered
their sovereignty. Therefore it seems unreasonable to only use the name
"Sea of Japan" which can symbolize imperialism.

I humbly ask for you to consider the
issue of naming the sea both the "Sea of Japan" and "East Sea."
Thank you for spending your time
reviewing my long letter and I would appreciate it if you reply via my e-mail:

Best regards,
Su-min Kim
