The name ‘Sea of Japan’ was forced by Imperial Japan as they wrongly invaded other nations like Korea, China, and the United States. As the term ‘Sea of Japan’ is a product of the past atrocities of invasion and cruelty, I believe we should promote the usage of the sea’s original name, the East Sea. I, therefore, ask you to please consider the usage of the term ‘East Sea’.
