Hi I am Ko Jooyeon, a high school student who has interest in protecting the correct notation of the East Sea in Korea.
I am working to protect our territorial sea from Japan and to be recognized correctly by the international communities.
I am sending this email because I found an article on your website that has a mistake in noting the East Sea, which is " At 15, he enrolled at an agricultural high school in Hyogo Prefecture by ' the Sea of Japan.'"

The sea between Korea and Japan is called in two ways by the each country, the East Sea and the Sea of Japan. Through negotiations, two countries agreed to call the sea in both ways.
However many countries around the world is using only the Sea of Japan eventhough it should be called together such as .....the East Sea(the Sea of Japan). The reason is because Japan continually argued that the sea is their terrritory from the 20th century, when they started to expand their territory by colonies. As a result, a lot of articled and world maps call the sea only the Sea of Japan.
Therefore, I want you to use the name, the East Sea as well when you write an article about the sea from now on. It might be a big offer but I wish you to understand this problem and recognize the territorial dispute against the two countries about the sea.

I hope for your consideration when writing a new article in the future.
Thank you for reading this email.
I wish you understood my words.

Sincerely
Ko Jooyeon
