Dear journalists and editors of CRIENGLISH.com, my name is Seung Jae Jeong from
Korea and I am a highschooler taking part in the Korean cyber nomination
error corrcting team. First of all I show respect for your effort to
provide us with accurate news. However, while reading an article
uploaded on August 25th I found a nomination error mentioning what
originally is reffered as the 'East Sea' as the 'Sea of Japan'.

The
East Sea has been called by it`s name since ancient times.
I understand that most of the western countries use the nomination 'Sea
of Japan' widely. However, the proper nomination of the body of water
lying between the Korean peninsula and Japanese archipelago is the 'East
Sea', written 'µ¿ÇØ' in Korean text. This nomination has been used since a
long time in Korea and Japan. Korean people are confused when they see
maps and hear news designating the East Sea as the Sea of Japan.

I
know that it is hard to change all your previous news reports using the
nomination of 'Sea of Japan' however, me and my fellow Koreans would be
very pleasured if you could use the nomination 'East Sea' in your
future news. I would also be very happy if you could write a comment on
your news that the proper nomination of the sea previously mentioned as
the 'Sea of Japan' is the 'East Sea'.
