This e-mail is regarding about a name expression dispute of one of your news articles online.

My name is Nahyun Kim. I am from Korea and, I work as an active member of the Dokdo Cyber Press, a non-governmental and voluntary organization that is established to provide correct information about Korea to the international community, including online news articles.

The online news that I want to mention is published August 26, 2017, tiltled as, “Nth Korea fires missiles into Sea of Japan: North Korea has tried, but failed, to launch three short-range missiles.”  The “East Sea” is expressed as “Sea of Japan” in the text as well as in the title.

 The body of water lying between the Korean peninsula and Japanese archipelago is described incorrectly in the map of your website. We hope you appreciate the importance of transcending historical bias and provide accurate information about the East Asia region. The body of water between Korea and Japan should be described as the “East Sea” or at least with the simultaneous use of both names; “East Sea/Sea of Japan” like the following e- map.
