While searching on Google for my geology class homework, I found that your website has a map which has wrong information written on it. 

On this link (https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Map-of-the-Sea-of-Japan-and-adjacent-land-areas-showing-the-known-geographical_fig5_44176257) , the 'East Sea' is written as 'Sea of Japan', which is a wrong title for this part of the sea.

This part of the sea is historically and internationally called 'East Sea'.

First, historically, for 2000 years, 'East Sea' was called 'East Sea'. It was called like that not only by Koreans but also by Japanese for a long time. When we look at the old maps produced by old Koreans, Japanese, and Chinese, the 'East Sea' is titled 'East Sea'. 

So 'East Sea' is the name used for more than 2000 years. 

Secondly, IHO( International Hydrographic Organization) regulates the name of world's seas by asking people to use standard international titles. And 'East Sea' is the title chosen by IHO. IHO recommends using 'East Sea', thus, 'East Sea' is the international standard name for 'East Sea'.

In short, for these reasons 'East Sea' should be called 'East Sea' instead of 'Sea of Japan'. 

So, I would like to ask you whether your website can use the correct title for the 'East Sea'.
