Dear webmaster

Hi. This is Jinhwan Yoon, a high school student from South Korea.
I saw your writing about the island on the East Sea from your website below.

You have been using the term Takeshima to describe the island, but the correct term is 'Dokdo' and it is clear that Dokdo is the territory of South Korea.

Japan has been denying the fact that Dokdo is the territory of South Korea since long before. One reason for their absurd argument is because it contains valuable future resources underwater. For example, deep sea water. Deep sea water is seawater that exists under 200 meters deep, the sunlight not able to reach there. Since it is rich in minerals, deep sea water is said to be effective in anticancer and cardiovascular disease prevention. So deep sea water is considered one of the most valuable future resources and Japan desires it.

However, Dokdo is undoubtedly the territory of Japan. Lots of historical documents and maps support this fact and even some documents from Japan say that Dokdo belongs to South Korea. In the Japan's Justice in 1946, the Allied Supreme Commander's Memorandum, it excluded Dokdo from their territory, and the Allied Supreme Commander's Memorandum issued in June, 1946, also mentioned that Japanese ships and Japanese citizens are not allowed to assess Dokdo within 12 nautical miles.

You should keep in mind that your writing, even though it is not that long, can deliver false information to future generations. You're even managing a facebook page and a twitter page!! Incorrect information can spread through SNS to more people at greater speed.

So I ask you to make corrections on your website. I look forward to your reply.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely
Jinhwan Yoon
