Dear webmaster,

Hello. I am a high school student in Seoul, Korea, and also a member of the Dokdo Cyber press corps. ¡®Dokdo Cyber press corps¡¯ consists of students voluntarily asking media to change incorrect information about the East Sea or Dokdo. Regarding to this action, I visited your website recently. The following is not something trying to offend or hurt your feelings.

The sea between Korea and Japan, which you called the "Sea of japan," is actually called the "East Sea." The name "East Sea" has been used since the era of three kingdoms in Korea and has been used for almost 2000 years. The Korean government has been trying to fix this since 1991 when Korea joined the UN. The WHO, UNCSGN, and many other international organizations suggest that if a name agreement is not concluded between the two countries, they should use both names together.

For these reasons, I hope you add the 'East sea' next to the 'sea of japan'. We don't have the decided name, and we should follow the international standard of sea name use.

Thank you for reading my e-mail.

Sincerely,

Gyuri Kim
