Dear Dr. Selina,

This e-mail is regarding about a name expression error (or dispute) in your research article published 2017 in English (DOI:10.1134/S1063074017030099)

My name is Nahyun Kim. I am from Korea and, I work as an active member of the Dokdo Cyber Press, a non-governmental and voluntary organization that is established to provide correct information about Korea to the international community, including online news articles.

The Research is published in Russian Journal of Marine Biology volume 43 No3, titled as ¡°The Morphology and Seasonal Dynamics of the Potentially  Toxic Microalga Prorocentrum foraminosum Faust 1993  Dinophyta) in Peter the Great Bay, the Sea of Japan¡±

In the title and throughout the paper, the name ¡° Sea of Japan¡± was used.  The name was also used in the map of figure 1 on pate 197  as well (following link) .

The body of water lying between the Korean peninsula and Japanese archipelago is described incorrectly in the map of your website. We hope you appreciate the importance of transcending historical bias and provide accurate information about the East Asia region. The body of water between Korea and Japan should be described as the ¡°East Sea¡± or at least with the simultaneous use of both names; ¡°East Sea/Sea of Japan¡± like the following e- map.

With Kindest Regards,
