Dear webmaster, I'm a high school student in Korea. I'm sending you an e-mail because I found some critical errors on your website. I found you used the name of the sea as 'sea of japan'. However, it should not be used alone for the following reasons.
|
|
º»·Ð |
The sea is actually called "East sea," lying between South Korea and Japan. The name 'East Sea' is used in Korea for almost 2,000 years in the Three Kingdoms Period. The South Korean government has been trying to correct this since 1991, when South Korea joined the U.N. Many international organizations, including IHO and UNCSGN, suggest that it is a common principle to use each work name if it is difficult to agree on the name of the landmark shared by the two countries.

For these reasons, I hope you add the 'East sea' next to the 'sea of japan'. We don't have the decided name, and we should follow the international standard of sea name use.
Thank you for reading my e-mail.
Sincerely, Jieun Kim |
