Dear webmaster, Hello. This is Kyeongtaek Oh, a high school student studying oceanography in South Korea. I have an assignment and research to do about marine environment and ecosystem around my country, using your website. I feel very thankful to your website because it provides useful contents for my assignment. However I have found a mistake your website has done. Your website indicated East Sea as Sea of Japan.

In the map and essay of your website, the name of the sea between Korea and Japan is stated as Sea of Japan. It is totally unreasonable to use the name Sea of Japan because it was decided in the period of imperialism though its original name is East Sea which has been used throughout history. Therefore, I think that the ocean between Korea and Japan should be described as the East Sea or at least simultaneously using of both names East Sea/Sea of Japan. I hope you to revise th name as soon as possible.
