Hello, editors of Japan Forward. I am a high school student from the Republic of Korea. I saw your article about making Takeshima Day as a national commemoration. I strongly protest against this and demand that it be revised.

First, you have claimed that Korea is illegaly occupying Dokdo, but there is no evidence of this. There is a reason why goverment did not attended the ceremony. Conservatives in Japan claims Dokdo is their territory without convincing evidence. Also, you quoted a governor's sayning about 'There have been increasing moves to make the occupation a fait accompli, by carrying out military exercises and marine surveys in the area around Takeshima.', but it is not true. It is natural for army of Republic of Korea to defent because it is out territory. In addition, nothing has harmed Japan in the course of territorial defense of territory.

A conclusion about my claim is to stop holding these ceremonies and to stop to spread these atrocities through the press.

Thank you for reading this.
