To whom it may concern,

I am Seohyeon Ryu, a high school student in Korea.
While I was visiting your website, I found there is some incorrect description about "Tokdo" in your dictionary.

º»·Ð

First, Tokdo is incorrect. Dokdo is correct.
Second, your dictionary says Dokdo is "an integral part of Japanese territory", but this is not true and Dokdo is part of South Korea.

There are conflicting interpretations between South Korea and Japan about the historical state of sovereignty over the island. However, historically, the island has been Korea's territory, not only in the document of Korea but also in the document of Japan. Dokdo was included to Japanese territory in 1905 when Japan was starting colonial rule over Korea. After World War II, when Korea regained its entire territory following its liberation from Japanese colonial rule, Korea's long-established title to Dokdo was restored. Yet, Japan continues to insist that Dokdo is its rightful territory won during its war of imperialism, more specifically that it retains territorial rights to the former colony

Please visit the website (http://dokdo.mofat.go.kr) for more information on geographical designation. I humbly ask for your website to seriously change the title and description about Dokdo. I would like to appreciate your time for reviewing my letter, and look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
Seohyeon.
