I’m HYUNJUNG LEE, a highschool student of South KOREA.

Recently I found website still label Korea’s ‘East Sea’ as ‘Sea of Japan’ which is incorrect. Such an erro on such a well-known website.

Using a proper name for the body of water between the Korean peninsulq and the Japanese archipelago is not simply a question of changing the name of a geographical feature. It is part oh the national effort by the Korea people to erasa the legacy of Japanese Imperialism and to redress the unfairness that has resulted from it.

Most of all, the U, S.s ate of Virginia has has revised the guidelines for history and social science aducation in line with a newly enacted law that requires textbook to use the Korea name ‘East Sea’ alongsidethe Japanesa name ‘Sea of Japan; for thr body of water betqwwn the tqo countries on 2017.

As a Korean student, I urge you to use ‘East Sea’ to describe the body of water in question or to use both Korean and Japanesas designation simultaneously in all of your contents.
