To Whom it may concern, Greetings,
I am Seonwon Kim from the Republic of Korea. I am continually surfing typographical errors in Korean history or territory. Your website says that "The Sea of Japan "is the only internationally established name. I have to inform you of what you are missing as follows.

º»·Ð |
East Sea is the sea where is located between Korea and Japan. The 'East Sea' has been famous in East Asia for over 2,000 years.
In contrast, Sea of Japan rarely used the name before the 18th century. After Japan invaded Korea in the early 20th century, the name, Sea of Japan, spread internationally.
The International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) confirmed this sea as the Sea of Japan in 1929. During the colonial period of Korea (1910 - 1945), No rights against Japan were allowed in Korea.

I recommend calling it "East Sea" or "East Sea/Sea of Japan." It is consistent with the updated recommendation of IHO, naming simultaneously for the area where two countries disagree on a single name.
I request you to change the name on your maps. I look forward to hearing a piece of good news from you.
Sincerely, Seonwon Kim
