Dear Concerned Party,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Yujin Hwang from South Korea, and I am working on a project to correct typographical errors related to Korea's history and territory. I noticed that your website uses 'Sea of Japan' instead of the correct term, 'East Sea.' I kindly request your assistance in correcting this error.

Specifically, I found 'Sea of Japan' incorrectly labeled on your post about the Tonghae Satellite Launching Ground where it should have been 'East Sea.' The East Sea, historically significant to Korea since the 6th century, includes Dokdo, an island under Korean jurisdiction. Korea's sovereignty over Dokdo is well-documented, supported by Imperial edict No. 41 from 1900.

Japan's claims to Dokdo are contentious, influenced by historical events like the occupation of Korea, which damaged Korean historical records. Therefore, Japan's claims lack credible historical basis and rely primarily on diplomatic efforts.

I kindly request that you update your maps to replace 'Sea of Japan' with 'East Sea.' This correction is necessary as 'Sea of Japan' is inaccurate and inappropriate. I would appreciate your confirmation once this change has been made.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

Best regards,

Yujin Hwang
