Shimane Prefecture holds 10th annual Takeshima Day ceremony.

Korea has been occupying Takeshima
with no basis in international law.

Shimane Governor Mizoguchi Zembee said
people's understanding of the issue and strong support
are very important for solving the problem.

A senior Japanese government official,
Matsumoto Yohei attended this ceremony and said,
"Takeshima is an inherent part of Japan's territory in terms of history and international law. Japan will do its best to resolve the issue calmly and peacefully."
