The Yahiko Shrine is just a convenient 15-minute walk from JR Yahiko Station. This popular climb, easy even for beginners, takes about an hour and a half to reach the top when coming from the shrine’s approach and takes about an hour to descend. There is also a ropeway to the top, which offers a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan. Enjoy the view from the summit, which, at 634m above sea level, is the same height as TOKYO SKYTREE®.
