Sea of Japan from Kanazawa? 2015/3/2 14:00
I would like to see the Sea of Japan while in Kanazawa. How would I get there? I don't think any of the tourist buses go there? I don't speak any Japanese. Thank you.

The Noto Hanto is best explored by (rental) car. It is pretty awesome, and there is even a place where you can drive your car on the beach.

We did the Hotoketsu day trip from Kanazawa to Wajima: it was fantastic. It was all in Japanese..didn’t matter a jot...we didn’t get any of the commentary, and the bus driver looked a bit askance when we boarded the bus, but we just pointed to our watches when we got off each time and he pointed to when we should be back! Worked a treat! The Wajima markets were good fun; and the laquerware place was outstanding; so was the temple we visited: just beautiful. We had a fantastic lunch (included in the price): really excellent. We made some New BFf’s when we ordered beers...they were very pleased to see us imbibe!! The scenery was beautiful, especially along the coast. And the last bit was driven along the beach... It really was a great day, and the other people on the bus took pity on us on occasions and were so helpful, pointing out photo ops etc we would have missed. I can really recommend that tour.
